Perfect for a wedding

I ordered these to match a French blue silk dress I am going to wear to my nephew's wedding. The dress is very plain, so I thought I would gussy it up a little with nice shoes and a handbag. These shoes are perfect - they match and they look amazing, and I am all set. They are also pretty surprisingly comfortable (which I did not expect - one usually must suffer for fashion.) If you are buying these as a bride for a wedding, the trim on the top is silver (not as white as it appears in the photos) so you probably will have to go with silver jewelry. Still, these shoes would make a fun "something blue" for a bride. I notice in the other reviews that some people found them to be too tight across the top - they fit me just fine, but I also have a narrow foot (A or B).

Comfortable and true to size

These shoes fit true to size and are quite comfortable. I was worried they’d be too tight because of the other review, but they are fitted to my foot without any pinching and even have a little room in the vamp. The point of the top of one side initially dug into the top of my foot a bit, but it was easily bent back up a bit. I’m happy with my purchase, and can’t wait to wear them for my wedding!

Size up and dance the night away

I originally ordered these in the size I typically get from AD, but found they were too tight and ever so slightly too short. I exchanged them for one size up (the return process was super easy!) and they fit much better. The tightness around my arch took some getting used to and I though I may get blisters as I broke them in, but that didn't happen. My first time wearing them for an extended period was to a ball. I didn't get any blistering or chaffing and the mules stayed on surprisingly well! I only lost one once, when I threw in a particularly historically inaccurate kick.

Beautiful but tight

The shoes are beautiful, but tight across the vamp. I’m rather disappointed. I ordered according to my fit size measurement bc I’ve been finding AD shoes are getting smaller & smaller, and these are still tight too get on properly. They would fit in length perfectly, if my foot was fully inside the shoe, but the vamp doesn’t allow for that. I don’t even know that going up another size would do anything bc then the shoe will be too long.

For sizing, we suggest you order whatever size you MOST typically wear in B width heels when ordering the Antoinette as we've found this is the method that tends to be most successful for most people.

We don't typically go by measurements for individuals, as they're not a good way to estimate size. No two people measure their feet the same and considering that there's typically a 2mm difference in width and a 4mm difference in length in between half sizes, you can see how a tiny change in measuring could throw you way off!
