So many compliments!

Ive worn these out a few times and have consistently gotten compliments! They’re reasonably comfy, but would be nice to have them available in a wide.

MUST BE MAGICAL

Let me tell you how comfortable these shoes are. I do not wear heels and a 1 inch Cuban heel is enough to give me hip pain. So it is with brazen Aries confidence that I bought these shoes, tried them on for ten minutes and two weeks later (last night) decided to wear them for a pre-birthday bash drag show. Starting with that I left the house too early, walked ten minutes to a bus stop in a surprise light snow fall (again, walking in them for the first time), amazed to discover I had spontaneously developed the ability to walk in heels at all (thank you, incredible French heel design). Then I waited for forty minutes in the bitter cold before realizing the buses don't run that late on a holiday schedule. Walked back home (legs admittedly cramping), ordered a cab, went to the bar, danced my pre-birthday butt off, jumping, standing, stepping, sliding and completely forgetting that I was wearing the highest heel I've ever worn in my life, for four whole hours. Drank more than I've drunk in years and was totally stable on my feet even after leaving; in fact, definitely underestimated my inebriation simply because I wasn't stumbling. Roaring Thirties suddenly make a lot of sense. Anyway, everyone said I looked incredible, my favourite drag queen loved the shoes, and I'm not even sore the next morning. Worth getting dinged 80 CAD in customs fees.

The cutest shoes ever???

This is my third pair of shoes from American Duchess, and they did not disappoint. I debated over this purchase for months before finally pulling the trigger, but when they arrived this afternoon, it quickly became apparent that my money was, as expected, well spent. Obviously the quality is exceptional and they will last many years of comfortable wear, but that almost doesn't even matter compared to the incredible design. When I wore them out downtown, I received a steady stream of compliments that lasted the whole evening. I even received the biggest compliment I've ever gotten on any pair of shoes -- in the ladies room, one half of a friend pair was making over them so much that she told her friend "pee faster, you've gotta see these shoes!" Her friend (who had evidently had a surprising amount to drink by 8:30pm on a Monday but was having a great time regardless) just went ahead and opened up the bathroom stall to peer out at me. Still seated on the porcelain throne, she took a very long look and assured me that she LOVED my shoes before closing the door and moving on with her business. I wasn't expecting this when I ordered these shoes, but I guess I need to get used to it if I'm going to be parading around in what seems to be the maximum level of shoe cuteness attainable in this life. If you're thinking about buying these shoes, my only disclaimer is to make sure you're comfortable receiving compliments and being made over wherever you go. Thank you Karolina Zebrowska!!
