Description

Vintage shoe designers really knew how to kick a basic oxford up a notch with perforation, stitching, and all sorts of added interest. The Bellevue Oxfords feature these quintessentially vintage hallmarks, replete with a reproduction perforated design that goes all the way through the upper to create the most fabulously flexible, breathable, and attractive design.

Built on a new round-toe vintage last with a high toe box, the Bellevues take their upper design directly from an original 1930s lace-up in the American Duchess collection, but we've adjusted the heel height and toe shape to be more comfortable and accommodating, with our perfectly-balanced 1.6 inch / 4 cm Cuban heel.

The Bellevue Oxfords are ideal for all attire from the 1920s to the 1960s, especially for CC41 compliant and nurse uniform shoes. Bellevue comes in a high-shine, glacé finish based on originals.

Makes Me Feel Special

So glad these shoes were restocked. They feel good on my feet. I like the rounder toe box. Color fabulous. Would like the same style in white. Please let me know of upcoming sales

Gorgeous!

These are really stunning shoes, and regularly get compliments. I absolutely love the punched out pattern on them. They’re both very pretty and practical. I generally avoid heels, but these are really well balanced to walk in. I did take them to get stretched to help accommodate my wide feet, but I feel like they will be very comfortable after they are fully broken in.

Perfect event shoes!

I work as a party princess for birthday parties and these have become my go-to shoes for events! I can stand, dance, and interact with kids for HOURS in these with no issues at all. I’ve seriously done 8-10 hour days going from event to event with very little rest time and my feet never get sore and I’ve never had a blister from these (or any AD shoe, honestly). I wear a 6/6.5 and the AD 6 is perfect for me. They’re so comfortable and the heel height and placement is perfect (no more tripping over long dresses!!) I’ve had kids ask me a couple times what shoes I’m wearing under ball gowns and they always think these are so cool. I love the perforation on the upper, it gives some interest to what’s otherwise a fairly basic oxford. Basically, I can’t recommend these shoes highly enough, especially if you spend a lot of time on your feet but still want something cute. 137% worth the investment.

Love the Bellevues!

The Bellevues have got to be my absolute favorite reproduction vintage shoes ever! They can pass as originals. AD's 1.6 inch heel is perfection -- super well balanced, elegant, and incredibly comfortable. (I have a couple AD styles with this heel and I find those are the ones I always pull out to wear.) I love the Bellevue's dressy sole (close to the shoe and no top stitching), and the covered heel. I'm a 9 Narrow and the size 9 fits me well with thin-regular socks and I have wiggle room in the toe area, which is deep enough to be very comfortable and still maintain an authentic vintage look. In the summer these should fit without socks, as my feet swell some hotter weather. The tan color is a medium brown, pretty much the same as it looks on my monitor. The pair I received seemed to have been constructed from a slightly different dye lot, as the forefoot areas were slightly different shades. I noticed it a lot when I first started wearing them, but then stopped noticing. At some point I'll polish them and then they will match exactly. I would love more colors in these shoes, like a lighter brown (beige?) for summer and also something in a color (grayish blue?).
