Pompadour Leather 18th Century Shoes are the picture-perfect footwear for your exquisite Baroque and Rococo costumes.

Named for the famous Madame de Pompadour, these heels are closely based on extant early 18th century shoes found in museums, and feature an easy tabbed closure that can be laced with your favorite colored ribbon, cockade, or pom-pom decoration.

Accurate for the 1680s all the way through the 1760s, the Pompadours feature an all-leather construction, our reproduction Louis heels, pointed toes, and the characteristic white rand seen on original 18th century shoes. Wear them for any and all early 18th c. impressions.

    Obsessed!

    These are perfect! I had them on my wishlist since 2021 but I was hesitant to get them because I thought I couldn’t pull them off for normal occasions but boy was I wrong! They are so wearable with white stockings and a cute short dress and look good even in modern settings. I am so glad I finally got them!

    Perfect Fit . . .

    I purchased the Pompadour Women's Leather 18th Century Shoes in black, and the Pompadour Women's Leather 18th Century Shoes in white simultaneously. Given the American Duchess website's imagery, upon delivery the look of each pair were exactly as expected but the fit exceeded my expectations: PERFECT! Already own a vintage dress in black for which I bought the shoes; hoping to secure one for the white shoes next. Completely satisfied with both purchases and already viewing more.
