Meet Jessie, designed in collaboration with YouTuber Jessica Kellgren-Fozard from Jessica Out of the Closet! Based on original shoes from the 1940s, Jessie Pumps feature attractive lattice cut-outs, beautiful scalloped edges, and a decorative leather bow. Each pair of Jessies come with two removable leather ankle straps, to suit a wide variety of ankle sizes. Simply thread the strap through the tab on the back of the heel and fasten the quick-release buckle for days when you need some extra security, or just want to change up your look! Hidden elastic under the bow makes these step-in pumps easier to put on and remove. A rounded toe box and beautiful 3”/7.62 cm Spanish heel make Jessie perfect for 1940s-1950s ensembles.

Great pair of vintagey shoes that are both comfortable and stylish.
These will round out my wardrobe of vintage shoes perfectly. With or without the ankle strap, these are a sturdy shoe but look almost dainty on the foot. Very pretty, very dressy, and very well made! Thanks!
I had never ordered American duchess shoes before and I often have a hard time shoe shopping so I was hesitant to pre-order these shoes, but I did. I was super careful about taking my measurements and checking the size charts and it's a perfect fit. The toe is a smidgen snug, but once they're broken in they'll be perfect. Best shoe buying experience I've had in years. I absolutely love the style and the shoes are decently comfy. They also come with a replacement for the heel when it wears down which is so nice. Only thing I would say is if you are outside of the US, I am in Canada and I paid for the shipping that I thought was supposed to cover tax and duties, but I had to pay that on pick up. So that doesn't seem like it was worth picking. I feel that issue is on the courier and not American duchess so I'm still giving 5 stars, but I feel it's worth mentioning for other international consumers.

We do recommend that folks not rely on measuring their feet, as it is difficult to get an accurate measurement of such complex, 3D objects as feet - instead, we recommend you order your regular size in standard-width (or wide width, if ordering from the Wide Collection) heels or women's dress shoes, as we've found that this generally provides better results than attempting to measure your feet.
For international customers, there are usually several shipping options offered. If you select DHL, there is usually a DDU (delivery duties unpaid) and a DDP (delivery duties paid) option, but if you select a USPS Intl option, all of those options will be DDU and customs and taxes will be collected by the customs office in your country.
