The Flora Boots are designed in collaboration with the Bata Shoe Museum. Every pair of shoes from the In Bloom collection benefits and supports The Bata Shoe Museum in their study, outreach, and conservation of historic footwear.
As a lace-up boot, Floras are very adjustable for a wide variety of ankle, calf, and instep measurements. The top of the Flora boots does not extend to the widest part of the calf muscle. Measurements scale a little based on size.
These measurements based on size 7.5:
Ankle range - 9 to 13 inches / 22.8 cm to 33 cm
Shaft height - 7.8 inches / 20 cm
Boot top range - 9.4 to 13.4 inches / 24 to 34 cm
Tongue width - 4.5 inches / 11.5 cm
Though the antiques were made in silk, our boots are made in a durable and cleanable polyester satin, the ideal choice for footwear built to last. Spritz your shoes with Angelus Water & Stain Repellent to keep them in good condition and looking swell.

These boots are awesome! I typically wear an 8 and usually get an 8.5 in cowboy boots. I ordered an 8.5 wide since my feet are wide at the toe box but I could have probably stuck with an 8 wide. Everything about the boots feels luxurious and they came with extra laces and heel soles. I am having a regency themed wedding and these will be perfect. They are really wonderful quality and I would love to order more in the future.
It is a beautiful shoe. I appreciate the wide width offering. It definitely takes some time to put them on, but once they are on they are great. I do feel that the sole is not that cushion-y, so I will be purchasing shoe inserts to address that.
The heel cups are pretty stiff and can be difficult to pit your foot in, but one spray of the Shoe Stretch fixed it immediately! The extra long laces are also a god send for people with thick calves lol.
My shoe size is an 8WW/E. I got the 8.5W/D and they fit very comfortably! It takes a bit of unlacing to get my foot in, high instep and all that, but once they're in they're IN! Absolutely gorgeous, new family heirloom material.
I've never owned a pair of shoes so gorgeous! The embroidery is so beautiful. I have high arches so I had to order a size up, as the shoes have a low-arch profile. They fit well though, and are fairly comfortable.
