Today, our second day in Colonial Williamsburg, is rainy and cold. On top of that, I've got a cold myself, so getting up and out in costume was a little more delayed than usual.

This isn't Chowning's Tavern.
I didn't take many pictures, but for experiences, we learned a little about tailoring at the Milliner's shop, enjoyed lunch at Chowning's Tavern, and listened to General Lafayette talk about the duties of the cavalry, while looking quite dashing in his uniform, and on horseback.

Mom chats up Gen. Lafayette
I wore my Indienne gown, but borrowed my mom's brick red matellesse petticoat for warmth. She's shorter than me, so the skirt was a bit high on the leg, but it definitely didn't get wet or drug through the puddles at that length. :-) I'll have to do a better set of photos of this dress later...
